• Ordinary member: Any sorts of silk entrepreneurs, professionals, realer, weavers and individual sericulture farmer can obtain the general membership of SAN.
• Institutional member: sericulture development groups, farmers' group, silk trade associations can obtain the institutional membership of SAN
• Honorary member: SAN may include its own organization as honorary members that has outstanding knowledge, experience and significantly contributing with economically, physically and morally from last five years in silk development
• Life member: ordinary members who have renewed can obtain the life membership of SAN

Procedures of obtaining the membership of SAN
For the obtaining the membership of SAN, applicant has to follow the following steps

• Fill up the prescribed application form developed by SAN available in its national office and branch offices
• Submit filled up application form to SAN secretariat

Membership
SAN has obtained the membership of following organizations.

• International Silk Association (ISA)
• Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industriy (FNCCI)
• Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC)
• Social Welfare Council (SWC),

Secretariat
For day to day operation of administrative works, SAN has professional secretariat with administration, finance, and program units and meeting hall besides office bearers. The secretariat of SAN works under the guidance and supervision of the Secretary- General.
